Romero Britto
Romero Britto's official biography details the beginnings of his exuberant
style. He was born in Recife, Brazil in 1963. Self-taught at an early age, he
painted on surfaces such as newspapers. In 1983, he traveled to Paris where he
was introduced to the work of Matisse and Picasso. He combined influences from
cubism with pop, to create a vibrant, iconic style that The New York Times
describes, "exudes warmth, optimism and love."
Functional
art by Michael Wainwright who has created elegant porcelain since 1991.
Handcrafted
porcelain serveware finished in 24kt gold. Dishwasher safe.
Although inspired by travels around the world, each piece is designed
in his studio in the Berkshires of Massachusetts.

Working from his Big Sur California studio, Vanderveen uses the lost-wax
method to cast the figures from molten bronze, then finishes them with
