There are
no hard and fast rules for getting the right shape and size for your face, but
some general guidelines may help. First, the frame style should contrast with
your face shape, angular styles for more rounded face shapes, and oval or round
styles for square or diamond shaped faces. Also, watch the proportion, larger
sizes for larger faces. For a comfortable fit, the edge of the frames should
protrude slightly so the temples don't touch your head as they extend to your
ears. Make sure they are long enough so the curve at the end of the temple
extends over the ear without pressing down on it. Some frames have adjustable
nose pads, but the fit should be secure without pinching. Your glasses should
stay in place as you shift your head without pressing on your face.
